Scenic boat tour offers new U.P. adventure with lighthouse, ancient lava flows

HOUGHTON, MI - Last summer’s inaugural season for Keweenaw Boat Tours was a lot busier than expected. Families, couples and friend groups were happy to hop aboard and explore the picturesque curve of the Upper Peninsula’s Keweenaw Waterway. They were given a guided tour of the area’s rugged sandstone cliffs, with forests that go right to the water’s edge, and motored along on sunset cruises.
