Lake Michigan levels down nearly three feet from 2020

For the first time since 2014, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron are almost exactly at the long-term average height for the two lakes – roughly a three-foot drop from February 2020.
Lake Michigan-Huron measured at 578.77 feet this past week, just inches above the long-term average for the lakes.
