The Milwaukee Estuary could soon be cleaner, thanks to another round of dredging and a new sediment containment facility

The Milwaukee Estuary is moving a step closer to clean water and space for recreation, thanks to partial approval of funding for a sediment containment facility.
The facility will help to remove harmful chemicals from the waters that have settled in the estuary, said Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District executive director Kevin Shafer.
