Lake Michigan rescue equipment bill signed into law

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Indiana law now requires the installation of life rings at Lake Michigan piers and public access points. On Monday, Governor Eric Holcomb signed Senate Bill 253 into law. The bill aims to have one life ring every quarter mile along the lake, which fellow beachgoers could use to assist in rescue efforts.
