Great Lakes ice cover increases as water levels decline

MANISTEE COUNTY – Water levels on the Great Lakes are continuing to fall from record highs seen just a few years ago.
Data from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers shows a 2-foot drop on Lakes Michigan and Huron from their monthly record high for February set in 2020.
